I think Adam is really onto something here!! I don't think it's too heavy for a novice show.......it might be geared more towards guys like Big Z and
lbstone but that is just a formaility.

Love the semi pull!
That will make for some great pictures/video for the archives. Fun way to go out. Although I have told my wife that when I turn 50 I want to come back and show you young guys I can still play (even if I can't win). Looks like fun! |

We will just get all of that done there. Easier that way.
Now lets just hope for good weather. In the case of bad weather, we could go to the farm and do a 'private' non spectator comp or just train together there. So, for those that do travel, worst case sceneraio (bad weather) the trip will not be for nothing. |

The question came up about competitor order, so, here it is.
We will draw for the first event. After that we will go in the order of competitor finish in the previous event. This is the opposite of usual, but since we have alot of newer competitors, it allows them to watch the more experienced guys do each event. Competitors are: Brent Hamm Tyler Hildebrand Eric Sawatzky Brad Hirst Melbourne Wood Dale Morrison Michael Geiger-Wolf Matthew Ambrose There are also still a few maybes..so we will see. (ALso, if anyone else wants in, that is fine, just let me know.)

Ok, just in case the weather is really bad (Snow/Rain or to cold, meaning below 0 or really windy...)
We will hold the comp at the farm. Things will be tight but it can work. Problems with the farm will be: We need to keep spectators to a minimum. For people traveling here with someone, they can all come, but local guys, well...room will be tight. Washrooms. The "Farm" is at my mom's yard, and she would not like it if I had a bunch of people going in to use the washroom. We do have nice open air out door facilities...but...well..if your going to need toilet paper your probably going to have to wait tell after the comp! Events if have to go to the farm Farmers Walk 200x40', 225x40', 250x40' We will be using the blue pulse implements. First the shorter one, then the longer one. Followed by the high pick green farmers walk for the 250. 90-Seconds Log medley 175-200-225-250 8-10-10-13" logs Keg Medley 175-240-255-300 Staggared distances (40-20-10-0 Feet) Platform will be 48" Seated Sled Drag 320 lbs x 40' Just cannot get the semi into the barn. Tire Flip 650 lb tire 10 Flips Same tire that was used last year. Competitor will have to turn and flip the tire in the other direction after 5 flips. |

For those asking...as of now there is no snow on the ground. The rain was good...and probably washed away some of the winter grit from the surface (we will
sweep on Saturday).
Forcast looks sunny and plus 5. Which usually means 10+ in the afternoon. I am happy with how things look. (Could be a bit warmer) |
