Hard to explain. I think most of the stuff we do puts more force outwards, not inwards.

Well..these things i am doing really do not give me any pain or discomfort. The ligament that detached is on the side of my elbow closest to be body. And..from
that they tell me it keep your arm from bending in towards your body.
Hard to explain. I think most of the stuff we do puts more force outwards, not inwards. |

So you have a weakened elbow joint........... basically. And you still keep training.... your choice man.... but I wouldn't.

Hey there brent, how'sit going my friend?? I read about your injury and I hope you will be back to kick some ass. Myself however have had to deal with an
injury I sustained back in the fall during a football game. I have a condition called plantar fascitis. It has to deal with the deep tissue at the bottom of
the foot, mainly the area around the arch. I tore that to sh1t. I am still limping and it has been almost four months, still hitting the gym though. Have had
the cortisone injection and intense physiotherapy, but to no prevail. My next option is surgery, but being the stubborn son of a b1tch I am, will be hoping to
make a competition sometime in the future. It's funny, when I couldn't walk for a month all I wanted to do was pull a semi and all that crazy
strongman stuff. Anyway buddy take care and have a safe and merry christmas.

So i met with two surgeons and an intern on Friday. The surgeon is the only one in Manitoba that does the surgery i need. They all thought my arm was really
strong considering what the MRI showed 3 months ago, and figured i had healed very well. They could still bend the arm a bit (inwards) but not that much. I
told them what i do (even had strongman pictures, and of the injury occuring in ON). They all agreed that i should not get surgery. Their opinion was that i
should ramp up my training now, and see how things go. If pain develops then i should come back in and schulde surgery. If no pain, or tolerable pain, then i
should just keep going. For normal folk they would not even consider the surgery.
So....that was some really good but unexpected news. Apparently, if i get surgery, he said i would not be able to lift even moderetly heavy for 1 year. On Saturday, i played around with the log and did a 220, 230, 240 on the 13" with no pain. I did not go heavier, but felt good for at least 250-260ish strength wise. |

That's awesome news!! Personally, I would have told them to put me on the list anyways... and then ramped up my training and saw where things went. If I
started feeling better - then I could take my name off the list, but if it didn't get better, then I'd already be on the list and in the line up and
not lost a few months of time to get on the waiting list.
No matter what, great to hear! Now get in the gym! lol |
