We got the word today and the contest is a go.
For those that don't know, the Saskatoon Ex draws about 250,000 people over the week..
Some rough details..
2 day show, 8 events in front of the grandstands (outside, possibility of 3000+ spectators per day......)
1) Fire truck pull - harness and rope -25m
2) Max Log Press
3) Yolk Walk - 850lbs for 25m
4) Tire Flip 800lbs+ up to 4 athletes at a time - 25m
5) Car Wheelbarrow - 2 athletes at a time. 25m
6) Conan's Wheel - 700lbs
7) Medley - Farmers 275lbs for 15m
- Duck Walk -450lbs for 10m
- Loading , 4 items, 200lbs +
Atlas Stones 5 stones 250- 380lbs, 2 athletes at a time
$2000 for 1st, $1000 for 2nd, $500 for 3rd, $100 for event win
We are looking at 12-15 athletes, hopefully from all of western canada. The Exhibition is looking at getting a web site up for registration, not sure when, but I will keep everyone posted.
